Dalton, a demon hunter, defies orders to kill Isabelle who has a demon inside her. He spirits her away to save her, thus risking the wrath of his superiors as he knows they will be coming for them.
From the first pages it is apparent that this is a sequel to an earlier book that I did not read. Did this curtail my enjoyment -- not really but it took awhile to get a handle of who’s who in this world that Ms. Burton created. From the onset, the lead couple is dynamic together and they just get better as the story progresses. Ms. Burton infuses them with so much chemistry that it will be hard to resist them. There is so much electricity between them – they are sizzling together. These characters are bubbling over with emotions as they try to stay ahead of those looking for them. Readers will fall in love with them as more of their story is revealed. Dalton and Isabelle are the epitome of the “tormented” hero and heroine. It is apparent that they both have been through the wringer but they are able to provide support for each other. There are quite a few secondary characters including Michael, Mandy and Georgie. They all added to the fabric of this story and definitely enhanced it.
If you are looking for a good solid paranormal romance, TAKEN BY SIN would be a great choice. It has plenty of action (erotic and non-erotic) and romance to satisfy anyone who enjoys the genre. TAKEN BY SIN is a thoroughly satisfying book that will whet your appetite for the earlier book in this series.
