Rachel Carrington has created a fantastical world where wizards and witches live unbeknownst among us, a law unto themselves. Presently living in a state of ceasefire, the war between the magical beings could heat up at any moment. Skye is a complex but likeable character. She wants to do the right thing by her sister and the coven, but witch politics and the sexy wizard she is sent to kill are not making things easy for her. Rane is nobody’s victim. He is strong, sexy, dominant and just plain magic. The sparks that ignite between Skye and Rane set the magical world afire. The secondary characters, the evil witches and Rane’s family of wizards, are well developed and easily set up future books in the series.

The plotline is suspenseful, the love story sensual and though there are some minor pacing problems, overall, UNCHAINED SPELL and the fascinating world of wizards definitely sparks reader interest. This reader is very much looking forward to the next book in this magical series. Rachel Carrington once again wows with her wizardly wonderful UNCHAINED SPELL.
