BOTTLED UP is a tender, heartfelt story that will leave you smiling even after the last page is read. Mr. Grey is fast becoming one my favorite M/M authors to date with his emotional stories, passionate yet sweet love stories and a writing style that leaves you breathless. I found BOTTLED UP to be a delight from start to finish and you even meet the boys from past book, The Best Revenge, as well which tickled me.
Meet Sean Bielecki, a man with a hidden past that he has forced himself to forget while he made a new life for himself and opened his dream store, Sommelier Wines. A man with many friends, loving family and an annoying boyfriend that had me rooting for him to be an “ex” soon. Mr. Grey delves into Sean’s past with a delicate touch as he shows the reader why he is afraid of putting teenager Bobby back on the streets after saving him from rape and with tenderness that belies the strength inside Sean; Mr. Grey weaves a subtle spell around the reader and captivates them to the very end. Sean is a flawed character that works with me as a reader. I loved how vulnerable he gets with Officer Sam Davis and the way he fights for a boy who blossoms under his parenting. Sam Davis is the perfect foil to gentle Sean with his alpha male personality and even this character shows a gentleness that had me sighing as he helps Sean through some dark moments. Add in some wild and wonderful friends & family members, Mr. Grey deliver a subtle story that will leave you wishing for more.
BOTTLED UP is a sweet and tender romance that will captivate you till the very end. With a nice even pace and some interesting secondary characters, Mr. Grey delivers a story that leaves you with a smile on your lips and a hankering for more. Some of the secondary characters were very interesting and I hope Mr. Grey goes back to visit them all soon. If you enjoy a sweet romance with a HEA, then grab BOTTLED UP and settle in for an afternoon of reading pleasure.
