Welcome to C.R. Moss' guest blog
The ‘What’ Prophesy? Alien vampires, you say?
First, I’d like to thank Love Romances & More for letting me blog here today ~ so thank you! Secondly, let me introduce myself. My name is C.R. Moss. I currently write for eXtasy Books for my erotic works and Devine Destinies for my non-erotic stories. My romance stories tend to have elements of the paranormal, sci-fi and horror in them. For more information about me feel free to visit my website. The link is provided below.
So did my title catch your attention? My current series is called the Si’Ludo Prophesy and the third book in the series, Into Eternity, was released on August 15 through Devine Destinies. Now you’re probably wondering what this series is about and how I came up with such a name for it. Well, here it goes…
Aliens. Psychics. Vampires…Oh, my!
To start off, let me mention that this series is mainstream/non-erotic in nature. Any sexual acts within the stories are sensual. These stories also have paranormal and sci-fi qualities.
When I first started writing Postponing Eternity, the novel was going to be a full-on vampire story, but it wasn’t flowing the way I wanted it to. So, I put it to the side and continued to work on a story line about wiccan triplet sisters. When my friend mentioned eXtasy books was looking for manuscripts, I finished the sisters’ books with Postponing Eternity in mind and that’s when the whole idea for the Si’Ludo stories morphed into what they are about ~ beings from another world who escaped from war and destruction where the good guys have special powers and psychic vampire abilities and the bad guys are more like the average blood sucking vampires. The idea for Postponing Eternity came from a dream I had. In it a man and woman, the loves of each other’s lives, were on the beach arguing. Interesting concept to start off with for a romance novel, right? Well, I could tell you what they were arguing about but that would be a bit of a spoiler for the Si’Ludo Prophesy series. Sorry. ;) Suffice it to say, inspiration comes in all forms and characters do take over and dictate how they want to be. When I started creating their world, they didn’t want to be mere earth-bound paranormal creatures. Why be easy? They wanted to be from a star system beyond our asterism, the Big Dipper. But, that’s all right. They allowed me to break through my block. The stories came out great and I have plans for more Si’Ludo books.
As for the series names… Si’Ludo is short for a man’s name. In my research for a viable alien world, I came across a person who thought he found a planet near two stars in the Big Dipper. “Back in 1722, a German mathematics professor, J.G. Liebknecht, was examining Mizar with a crude telescope and chanced upon a faint star between Mizar and Alcor. He believed that he had discovered a new planet and named it ‘Sidus Ludoviciana’ or ‘Ludwig's Star’ after his sovereign, the Landgrave Ludwig of Hessen-Darmstadt. His hopes were to flatter his local sovereign in hopes of being granted money. But the reaction from other astronomers was universally unfavorable, as they noted that the ‘planet’ was merely a telescopic star. The object never moved again, and Liebknecht disappeared in a hail of ridicule. Nonetheless, to this day, the star still retains the name that was bestowed upon it by Liebknecht when - for a few months anyway - it was thought to be a planet.” Taken from: http://www.space.com/spacewatch/050610_big_dipper.html Okay, so I shortened the name and made the star a planet surrounded by two moons. But, hey, I’m a writer so it’s artistic license.
The Si’Ludo books about the sisters, unlike the Prophesy books, are erotic and show the people’s sexual natures. For info, click on this link:http://www.home.earthlink.net/~cr_moss/id16.html The Prophesy books deal more with why they came to earth, the battle between the separated Si’Ludoians and allude to their future. Of course there’s romance thrown in between the main characters as they deal with their alienness and humanity.
All three books, Postponing Eternity, Prelude to Eternity and Into Eternity, are available at Devine Destinies. And, in light of the release Into Eternity, I’m holding a contest for some interesting prizes. Visit: http://www.home.earthlink.net/~cr_moss/id41.html (the contest page on my website) for details on how to enter.
Happy reading!

I enjoy finding out the inspiration for a story so thank you for the background. Reasearch can take us to a spot far removed from where we started. Best wishes for the new release.
Thanks for stopping by today & you're welcome regarding the background info. Yeah, sometimes I think a story will go one way and then as I'm researching it'll change. The change is usually for the better so I don't mind.
