DESIRE & DECEPTION is a fast paced story about Tiny, who is in hiding in the human world as a bouncer for the club Moonlight & Magic. I absolutely love this series. Ms. Carter delivers some intriguing characters, some really hot sex scenes and a fast paced storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed the way Tiny reacted to Cassia as well as some secondary characters. Ms. Carter had me laughing out loud in spots as Tiny fought his desires for Cassia as well as tried to make sure that his father’s minions couldn’t find him either. Add in some really steamy scenes that had me squirming in my seat, DESIRE & DECEPTION is sure to enchant you.
Meet Tiny, the heir apparent to his father’s throne down in hell. One slight problem- he doesn’t want the job. So he hides as a bouncer and tries to keep his head down, not drawing attention to himself until one night a bounty hunter drives him to claim a woman who is supposed to be his enemy- a vampire. Vampires and demons don’t mix…..or do they? I loved Tiny in the first two books (Moonlight & Magic, Seduction & Slavery) and was thrilled to see his story being told next. He is a sexy alpha male who finds that the one woman who thrills him to his toes is the one he shouldn’t even be thinking of. As a vampire bounty hunter, Cassia is the best at her job yet Tiny draws her like no other man has. Cassia was a strong independent woman who made me cheer when she didn’t pull the “woe is me” crap some heroines like to pull. Ms. Carter does a fabulous job in weaving a spell around you with her multidimensional characters and the reader gets a sense of their souls in between the pages.
DESIRE & DECEPTION is an engaging story that will keep you highly entertained as you read Tiny’s story. Be prepared to run to the website of this author to see when the next story is coming. Ms. Carter is a masterful storyteller that delivers a pulse pounding story and some ‘to die for’ characters that are interesting and makes you long for more. I do highly recommend reading the first two books, Moonlight & Magic and Seduction & Slavery, to understand the events mentioned in here as well as some of the secondary characters who pop up from those books as well. If you enjoy a little kink in your paranormal reading, then grab DESIRE & DECEPTION and hang on for one wild ride from start to finish. This series is definitely one where you can read over again at your leisure. I just recommend you have your significant other nearby to take that edge off after reading DESIRE & DECEPTION.
