Ten years ago, a virus named the Human Hemovore Virus, ravaged through the populations and those that survived turned became very different. They craved blood, hated sunlight and couldn’t stomach regular food. Now several years later, V-positives are the norm and Mark Jensen used to think they were sexy things until he started working for Jonathan Varga, a V-positive who wants black market feline blood and shuns society to hole up in his studio. Mark has wanted Jonathon for years but Jonathon’s secrets are about to explode and Mark may find that Jonathon is very different from what he seems to be.

Hemovore is the first book I’ve read from Jordan Castillo Price and it was one I couldn’t put down. Full of intriguing characters, a fast paced storyline and tight writing had me enthralled as the reader got to know Mark, his friends and his mysterious boss, Jonathan. The way Mark interacts with some secondary characters had me sputtering in laughter, shaking my head in disbelief and longing to know more as I turned the page quickly. Just a note that this has some gay-lesbian scenes that may not appeal to everyone.

Meet Mark Jenson, a man who used to think the V-positives were sexy as hell but since starting to work with Jonathon Varga, he is rethinking that thought. With some great dialogue between Mark and Jonathan plus a host of secondary characters that intrigued me, this author created a world that may happen one day in the future and delivered it with a bow to readers to enjoy. With a rich storyline to explore, the reader gets lost in this creation and I know I was itching for more after the last page was read.

HEMOVORE is a wild ride from start to finish with multi-dimensional characters and plot twists that leave you with your jaw hanging to the ground as you scramble to see what happens next. If you enjoy a unique new look into the possible future, then grab HEMOVORE and get ready for a wild ride. I am looking forward to exploring more of this author’s works and hope you do as well.
