SPOT ME by Andrew Grey

Publisher: Dreamspinner Press Date published: August 2009 None Given Contemporary M/M Erotic E-book Reviewed by Dawn CLICK TO PURCHASE! Each day Dan goes to the gym and meets up with his friend Lonnie. Nursing a broken heart and not interested in dating again until a new man walks into the gym and Dan is captivated. Gene is gorgeous and sexy as hell. Dan doesn’t think Gene would be interested in him- a forty year old man and feels Gene is way out of his league. With some tenderness and determination, Gene sets out to prove to Dan that love comes at the least expected times. If you ever read one of this author’s stories, you are sure to know that his characters take center stage from page one. I loved how Dan’s insecurities and broken heart was slowly nursed away by a sexy guy who really dug Dan. A man that had people scratching their heads and wondering “why him?”. With a story line that flows smooth like aged cabarnet, Mr. Grey again delivers a story that will leave you longing for more. Meet Dan, a man who enjoys working out for the right reasons even if his body type doesn’t have him ripped with a six-pack you can bounce coins off of. One day a chance meeting has him drooling over a new guy named Gene, who is a professional bodybuilder. With a slow build up that the reader can enjoy, you get a sense of how hurt Dan was after his long-term relationship broke apart and since then doesn’t feel like he is in Gene’s league much less appeal to someone like him. Gene wants a lover to see him, not the man who can open doors for them. When he spies Dan at the gym and a chance encounter that has them talking for hours, Gene sets out to prove to Dan that age and preconceived notions are out the window as he wants Dan with every fiber of his being. These two characters mesh really well together. I loved how Gene made sure to soothe Dan’s trepidations and set out to prove that Dan is all he needs, regardless of age. Mr. Grey definitely delivers two main characters who are the perfect foil for each other and some great secondary characters keep the story flowing. SPOT ME is a tender love story that readers can enjoy and sigh with pleasure when the last page is read. With tight writing, captivating characters and a story that will surely melt your heart, SPOT ME is a great story to read on a rainy afternoon. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Grey’s work in the future.
