Welcome to Jennifer Lyon's guest blog!
Thank you, Danny, for inviting me to be here today! I’m really excited about the second “Magic” book. In SOUL MAGIC, I got to explore just how deep the identical twin bond goes…for witches.
Everything is different when you add magic to the mix, right?
There are so many things about twins and magic that fascinated me. If they are identical twin witches, are their powers the same? Or do they develop them differently? Could they be opposites, like mirrors of each other?
What I discovered while writing this book was how much the “human” factor came into play. How for these two identical witches, their relationship with their parents influenced them differently. While one thrived under the demands of the father (a psy geneticist), the other one shut down and rebelled.
It all turned out so unpredictably human. Witch or mortal, we still can’t pinpoint which will have more influence—nature or nurture. These two witches grew up to each have their own issues, strengths and weaknesses. But the one thing that held true was the way Carla and Keri relied on each other. Their bond was strong and deep, so powerful that not even death could break it.
Carla, the heroine of SOUL MAGIC, finds that out for herself. Two years after Keri was murdered by a rogue witch hunter, she reaches out to show Carla that her soul is trapped in the knife that killed her. Keri is forced to witness more witches being slaughter and it’s killing off her immortal soul.
Carla is distraught and desperate to free her sister’s soul so she can go onto Summerland and peace. Only the twin bond is keeping Keri’s soul alive.
Sutton West knows he’s close to giving into the curse and going rogue. If that happens, he’ll start killing innocent witches to harvest the power in their blood and lose his soul. Worse, Sutton has touched Carla’s blood. He’s torn between duel hungers; the deep desire for the woman and the dark craving for her witch blood.
Together as they battle a dangerous psychic to free Keri, Sutton gets pulled deep into the bond with Carla and Keri, signifying that one of them is his soul mirror. Bonding with his soul mirror will break the curse, freeing him from his blood lust and giving the witch access to her high magic.
But which one is his soul mirror? Carla or Keri?
Sutton can’t make the wrong choice. And Carla is caught between her twin sister that has been with her since conception and the man who her heart wants to claim.
Romantic Times Bookclub said about SOUL MAGIC, “Readers are in for a roller-coaster ride of danger and emotional drama!”

Hi Jennifer and welcome to Love Romances and More.
I loved the first book. I picked it up by chance and can't wait to read the next book.
Question for you: Is there a genre you haven't done yet but want to in the future?
Thanks for coming. I added Soul Magic to my readin glist.

I'm always looking for new authors and series to read, congrats on your release!
Hi Dawn, thank you! It's a pleasure to be here, and I'm thrilled you liked Blood Magic!
That's a great question. Off the top of my head, I'd have to say straight suspense. I love, LOVE, romance and I suspect anything I write would have some romance. But I love suspense/thrillers that grab you from the first page and don't let up until that last line. But they are HARD to write!
Tetwa, Thanks so much! I love finding new authors and series too!
I have the first one in the series in my tbr pile. Just curious how many books do you invision in this series.
This is a great interview, too. You know I love ya! And your hero's are to die for.
*hugs*
Hi Pamk! So far, I have about 7 stories in my head. But it's possible more heroes and stories will show up. I hope you enjoy the first book when you get to it in your TBR pile!
Kira, thank you! I hope readers agree with you on the heroes!
Hi, Jennifer! I am looking forward to reading Sutton and Carla's (and Keri's) story. I started a paranormal romance book club with a couple of friends, and Soul Magic was the first book we read. It was so good (we love witches). Congratulations on your new release, and Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Jennifer, It is good to see you here today and loved the new book or at least what I read about it. I am just getting into this genre and really know I have missed alot all these years. I will turn into a witch on the 31st..well in a way. I will be wearing my witch dress up for work that night. I will try my best to behave myself but make no promises. I can tell you one thing..I will take people's money while I am a witch..see I am a cashier at wal mart. ha ha Have a good witchy day and night. susan L.
