CLICK TO PURCHASE! Rebecca Wakefield is on a mission. Determined to prove that women can be just a good an agent for the Pinkerton Detective Agency as men, she is trying to gatecrash a party to find a thief. When she meets Anton Carerra, she needs to use all her stubbornness and determination to resist his seductive ways. Anton has wanted to seduce the prim miss ever since he saw her in the opera house, watching him perform. Now, he may have his chance. But chance has it otherwise as they both go off on an adventure to Spain. There, he must prove that his uncle is out to kill him for his inheritance and Rebecca finds out some things about her own family that she thought never possible. At the same time, these two head-struck lovers are trying to deny the love that is blossoming between them and it looks like they just might not survive to confess to each other just how much they are in love!
Phyllis Campbell has with bravado created a fantastic story that holds the reader captive and pulls her along on a sensual and exciting adventure. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from this story. I was applauding Rebecca throughout, although how she could hold out so long against Anton charm’s had me shaking my head at times. Ms Campbell holds the reader in a seductive haze, as the story unfolds with all its intrigues and twists and turns. The sexual tension comes to a boiling point and when these two love-struck lovers finally consummate their love, I sighed with relief myself! I just loved the way this story was written. Tight, fast-paced, never a dull moment, it held my attention the whole way through and if I had the time, I would read it right away again. If only to savor Anton, who is a dashing hero for sure. Yes, Ms. Campbell, two thumbs up from this reader who has always enjoyed your books and looks forward to more.
THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF THIS BOOK. THIS IS AN OBJECTIVE UNBIASED REVIEW.
