When Abby Whitman was a young girl, she often walked in her sleep. One night she awoke to find herself in the living room and a fire was raging around her. The house was burned down, her family, luckily saved and her younger sister was scarred for life. Since then, she has lived alone, afraid that she could hurt someone again. It seems, that now in her adult life, she’s healed, but after the death of her mother, she again starts to sleepwalk. She awakes one night in her car, it’s turned on its side and there’s a motorbike with a dead rider too. Although evidence seems to show that she is not responsible for the accident, she is nevertheless very afraid. Psychiatrist, Jason Goble is more than interested in Abby. He wants to help her and the attraction between them grows to passion. But Abby constantly pulls away. Can Jason reassure her that her condition is nothing to be afraid about? Can they find who killed the young man on the motorcycle, before Abby is next?

This was a thrilling, chilling story that had me frantically turning the pages to find out what happens next. It’s a story that will grab you on the first pages and hold you captive until the very end. It’s a story that will chill you to the bone as it twists and turns. Susan Crandall delves deep into her characters and writes well-rounded, natural people that you will come to love and root for. This talented author gives her readers characters that have depth. There is a lot of emotion in this story and with all the twists and turns that the story takes you have a book that begs to be read again. I loved that Jason doesn’t give up on her but keeps showing his concern, his empathy and most of all, his love. He is very patient with her, but takes charge when needed. A great hero. I can highly recommend this book and I know that fans of romantic suspense will devour it. Go now and get this book, you will not be disappointed.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
