Gabriel is the illegitimate child of the King of Alarian and a human female. Kept at a monastery for years, he endures the beatings and the creepy attentions of the superintendent, Lothar. Resigned to his life, he decides to end it all when his father, the King, comes for him for his ceremony into Aleran society and his chosen mate, the feared Lothar. Gabriel is determined to end it all except for a chance meeting with the demon prince, Lucien. Hearts entwine and both Gabriel and Lucien are drawn to one another in ways that will change everything they have ever known. In order to be together, both Lucien and Gabriel have to confront their families and survive for life as they knew it has changed….the question is will it be for the better?

ENRAPTURED is one story that will leave you utterly transfixed until you had to read it to the very end. I started this before bed and thinking I would read a few pages then sleep was utterly wrong. Ms. Hyacinth completely drew me into this wonderful new world filled with different creatures that had me intrigued to see what would happen next. The story itself was a wide range of emotions for the reader to feel. You felt the despair Gabriel felt in the beginning as he took another beating and endured the laviscous attentions from Lothar to the fragile love that blooms between Lucien and Gabriel. This author really gets to the heart and souls of her characters and frankly I was blown away by it all. With each page, I was drawn further and further into her web and just had to see how it ended. A fast paced storyline, captivating characters and some smoldering love scenes, Ms. Hyacinth delivers a story that will knock you for a loop and leave you longing for more.

Meet Gabriel, an illegitimate child of the King of Aleran. Sent to a Monastery at a young age, the years pass as he deals with daily beatings and the nefarious attentions of its manager, Lothar. When he finds himself being taken to the castle and mated to Lothar, Gabriel decides drastic measures are to be taken and takes a deadly poison. Resigned he will die, Gabriel finds his fated mate in a chance encounter that will stir up much more than love but change the dynamics between two kingdoms. Lucien is a demon prince, living for each day fulfilling his father’s will for the demon kingdom. What he finds in Aleran is a destiny that will open his heart to a love so profound, both Lucien and Gabriel will risk everything to be together. Oh man, these two are so perfect for each other, it was amazing to read. I could actually see the scenes play out in my head as I read ENRAPTURED and it was like watching poetry in motion. Lucien is a strong alpha male-loyal, determined and willing to do what it takes to complete his mission. Gabriel is a seemingly fragile innocent, yet with a core of iron inside him that draws Lucien like a moth to the flame. These two are a perfect fit as they navigate the ways of the heart and the political mechanizations of Aleran and the Demon Courts. Some wonderful secondary characters kept the story flowing smoothly and intrigued me as much as Lucien and Gabriel did. This is an author who knows her characters thoughts, feelings and desires so completely and transforms them on paper for the reader to enjoy.

ENRAPTURED is a story that will completely captivate you from beginning to end. I was blown away by the sheer beauty of a world populated with unique people and interesting traditions. Ms. Hyacinth created a beginning to a series that will leave you racing to this author’s website to see when the next book will be out. I am highly anticipating the next adventure for Lucien, Gabriel and their friends on Kaldor. I just hope it isn’t too long of a wait to get my fix. If you enjoy a different fantasy story that will completely suck you in, then grab ENRAPTURED and settle in for one pulse pounding ride. I do recommend making sure you have a bucket of ice or your significant other nearby to ease the heat after reading this.

THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF THIS BOOK. THIS IS AN OBJECTIVE UNBIASED REVIEW.
