When Margot Radcliffe was rebuffed at eighteen by Travis Maher, she left Rosewood broken hearted and began to climb the ladder of success as a model. Her face is on all the big magazines around the country and people recognise her everywhere. At Rosewood, tragedy strikes when her step-mother and father die in an accident. She returns to find that Rosewood is almost in debt, Travis no longer works there and her sisters have their own problems. Margot is determined not to give up Rosewood. She begs Travis to come back and help her save the farm. When he does, their natures cannot help but clash and Travis is confronted with the one women he has never forgotten. Now he needs to show her somehow that he is the man for her. Before she is again lost to him.
This is a really entertaining story that held me in its thrall. I found the characters multi-dimensional and the plot intriguing. There is a lot happening. The budding passion between Margot and Travis. The problems of her sisters. The desperation on Margot’s side to save the farm at all costs. Just to mention for any readers who are horse lovers, the farm is a stud farm. Being a horse lover myself, I enjoyed reading about these elegant animals. Ms. Moore writes some sensual love scenes, great dialogue and a story that keeps you turning the pages. In this, the first of the trilogy, the story is concentrated on Margot, but I am sure that the stories of the other two sisters will be just as good and I am really looking forward to reading them.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
