Tessa Harlow leads hiking tours and she’s been around the world and has loved every minute. But during a trip, she was bitten by a Brown Recluse spider and almost drowned. Now, she is about to embark on the biggest adventure of her life. She takes a trip to Las Ladromas which has become a very popular venue for the rich and famous. Her idea is to set up tours. It is her childhood home and she is discovering things from the past that she had only vague recollections of. While there, she is attracted to Vince, a search-and-rescue worker and they are both drawn to 100 Breakfasts, the towns favorite eatery. Tessa is about to discover the key to a mystery that has haunted her for a long time and she will find a family and best of all, love.

This is an absolutely fabulous story. Barbara O’Neal writes vivid descriptions where the reader can actually experience everything that Tessa does. Her characters just leap off the pages and the plot will keep the reader glued to the pages. I loved Tessa and adored Vince. I would most certainly visit the 100 Breakfasts eatery if there were one in my town. It was very clever of Ms O’Neal to add recipes after every chapter from the eatery. I now have some interesting new foods to try out. The unraveling story of Tessa’s past is intriguing and the added romance between her and Vince was full of emotion. Ms. O’Neal also masterfully writes wonderful, sensual, emotional love scenes. And, when you pick up this book to read, which you must, please have a tissue or two ready, you will need them at the end.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
