Witch Rachel Morgan has survived demon attacks, vampires, and even two ISA death threats but now she may have gotten in way over head when her own kind come after her. Secrets have been reveled about Rachel that has her in a panic and now the White Magic Coven who polices the witches are after her for those secrets and for doing black magic. It will take all her strength, her determination to beat them for the price is high if she fails: death.

BLACK MAGIC SANCTION takes place after WHITE WITCH, BLACK CURSE and it gets hairy for Rachel. Not only has she had to deal with the deal she made with the demon Al, but now the coven of ethical and moral standards has decided she is threat with her learning of black magic. What I really love about this book is that you get a deeper insight into the characters, the world they inhabit and meet some really bad villains who practice white magic (the good magic). The characters rocked the book and yes, you will need some tissues for an event foretold in other books will leave you bawling as you flip the pages. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read this one yet but Rachel’s life is about to get even bumpier and crazier.

BLACK MAGIC SANCTION is one of the best books so far in The Hollows series and I have to admit, I had to stay up and see what happened next. I just could not put it down. Ms. Harrison delves into Rachel’s world with gusto and delivers a story that leaves you asking for more when the last page is read. Tight writing, beloved characters and a fast paced storyline with so many twists and turns you feel like you’re on a roller coaster. The only drawback I had when finished was that I wanted the next book NOW! Ms. Harrison delivers a story that will completely engross you and if you haven’t checked this series out, I highly recommend you do so. I just want to point out that you should read this series in order as each book capitalizes on the past ones. BLACK MAGIC SANCTION is a book I will definitely read again in the future, after I re-read the other books in the series again.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
