One that makes her weak in the knees and lust fills her veins. He is big, bad and oh so sinful; it has Layla teetering on the edge of desire or death whenever he walks into the room. Gethian knows Layla is a traitor but even if he is able to help her rescue her brother, he might not be able to keep her in the end.

BREAK was an interesting story to read one afternoon. It had a sexy, powerful demon who was sex on a stick, a conflicted heroine who lusted after him yet was determined to save her sibling. Plus she can see the war between the angels & demons that is waged in the streets at night. A gift she finds at times a pain in the butt or a godsend. This is a “new to me” author and one that penned an intriguing story that had me up till the wee hours of the night. Tight writing, fast paced storyline, sexual tension you could cut with a knife all rolled up within the pages of BREAK.

Meet Layla Roads, a woman that has had a hard life. Called trailer trash growing up, dropout and a skilled computer hacker with a gift that allows her to see the war between angels & demons on the streets at night; Layla finds life hard but lives for her brother. When she tries t o rescue her brother from kidnappers, she is blackmailed into a plot to bring down a powerful demon lord named Gethian. One that has her panties in a twist and desire racing through her veins. Can she figure out how to stay alive while rescuing her brother or will it all be for naught? Layla is spunky, independent and afraid that with one wrong step, Gethian will find out she is a traitor and her brother will die alongside her. She came across as a woman who isn’t afraid to do whatever it takes for her loved ones including invading the demons den, in this case sexy and oh so dangerous Gethian.

Gethian is a demon who may act all bad and evil but when he finds out the one woman he wants is a traitor, he has to figure out if he can accept that or if he should do away with her. Dang if this was a demon that made my blood boil. He was sexy, sinful and oh so decadent, the simmering sexual tension between Layla and Gethian almost scorched the computer. These two fit perfectly together and when they came together in a blaze of passion, just be ready with the ice-it’s scorching hot.

BREAK is a quick, hot story that pulls you in with interesting characters, fast paced storyline and some panties melting sex scenes that will leave you panting. I really enjoyed Ms. Blaize’s introduction to this wonderful world and hope she continues to deliver more stories set in it in the future. I am looking forward to more from this talented author. If you enjoy a quick paranormal story to get you hot, then try BREAK. It will draw you in and spit you out with a self-satisfied smile on your face.
