LOVE MEANS…COURAGE is the prequel to the Love Means series and it starts twenty or so years before LOVE MEANS…NO SHAME. I highly enjoyed the way this author delivered a well written story of romance, friendship and the obstacles they worked together to overcome. With the right amount of conflict, mystery and amazing characters, the author delivers a story that will haunt you long after you have finished the last page. Mr. Grey is one of my favorite authors and frankly, he keeps getting better and better with each book. Each story has unforgettable characters that steal your heart, a well written story and a romance that sears you to the soul.
Meet Len Parker, a young man who fell for Cliff Laughton in high school. After one stolen kiss, life separated them and they moved on or so he thought. Now five years have passed, Len is out of a job and after finding work at Cliff’s farm, he finds life enjoyable, especially as he draws closer to Cliff and Geoff, Cliff’s son. Well, when I first read LOVE MEANS…NO SHAME, I was curious by Len and Cliff’s romance and was thrilled to see they got their own story now. Cliff and Len’s romance was perfect, in my mind-not too rushed nor too slow but just the right amount of friendship that turns into something much more than either man expected. Wonderful secondary characters keep the story moving along nicely and the conflicts Cliff and Len faced were what many faced during that time period. It was a tightly written story with multi-dimensional characters that will have you smiling, sighing and rooting for.
LOVE MEANS…COURAGE is a perfectly balanced story that will keep you flipping the pages and delivers a timeless romance. Mr. Grey is a wonderful storyteller that captures his readers’ imagination and their hearts with each of his books. I can’t pick up one of this author’s books without feeling I came home each and every time. If you haven’t read one of these character driven stories of Andrew Grey’s then I highly suggest you run to grab any of his books. Each book is a perfect gem and ones I plan to re-read over again in the future. LOVE MEANS…COURAGE is a story that will touch your heart and leave you eager for more. I am eagerly awaiting more stories in the Love Means…series and hope it won’t be long in coming.
