Alex Sheridan has mysterious tattoos, an empathic power and a past that is hidden from everyone. When his lover dies, he finds himself lost and alone, trying to live each day without going insane. Meeting Luke MacKinnon gives Alex charge, one even he never expects. Luke is a professor of ancient languages and is intrigued by Alex’s tattoos and knows Alex is the key to something much more important: the fabled Oracle Power. Can Alex and Luke find a way to keep that power away from the evil that wants it?

ORACLE combines modern day with mythology and comes out wonderfully well written. I loved the way the characters melded perfectly with the story. Tight writing, mystery, adventure and more are all within the pages of this riveting book. It does start slow, introducing the characters and setting up the storyline but once that is over with, watch out-it explodes into a riveting adventure till the very end. RJ Scott is a wonderful storyteller who captures the imagination with multi-dimensional characters that steal your heart and lets your imagination soar amid its pages. Weaving her web around you, this is an author who knows how to tell a story.

Meet Alex Sheridan, a man with a painful past and a present that just got torn to pieces with the murder of his lover to a future that hinges on him working with a man who stirs him like no other, Luke MacKinnon. Tattoos cover his body, empathic and a man forced to find the fabled Oracle. Can Alex trust Luke enough with not just this mission but also with his heart? Luke MacKinnon is a professor of ancient languages, a man who is intrigued by Alex and his mysterious tattoos. He is drawn into the race for the fabled Oracle, whose power is the stuff of legends. Can he find a way to help Alex keep it out of the hands of evil? These two were perfect for each other. Luke is a strong man, one who thirsts for the knowledge of ancient times gone by. Alex is a man broken by a murder, bound to a man who stirs his very blood and a mystery that has him helping Luke solve before either of them die in the process. Some wonderful secondary characters keep the story flowing smoothly and had me intrigued till the very end.

ORACLE is a tale that will leave you asking for more. RJ Scott is a talented author and one I plan to continue to read more of in the future. This is a perfect introduction into this author’s writing. Want a wonderfully engrossing story? Then pick up ORACLE and settle in for one wild ride.
