Suspense novelist Andrea Kane’s DRAWN IN BLOOD is a complex mix of art heists and intrigue, love and betrayal, sorrow and regrets.

A field injury made Sloane Burbank a “former” FBI agent, but it isn’t keeping her out of the game. When her parents’ home is broken into and her mother is subsequently injured and hospitalized, Sloane finds out that her father knows more than he is saying about the break-in when he asks her to keep her lover, fellow FBI agent Derek Parker, out of the investigation. What follows is a mystery that has Sloane and Derek investigating a group of elderly family friends whose past has come back with a vengeance.

DRAWN IN BLOOD is an intense suspense thriller that takes readers into the world of art theft and forgery, Albanian and Chinese gangs, family loyalties and the ties that bind. Ms. Kane has skillfully created many multifaceted characters chasing one subplot after another in this story. Sloane is both deeply in love with Derek and yet afraid of trusting in it. At the same time, her faith in her father in the face of damning evidence reveals hidden depths to her character. The pace of the book is lightning fast, the plotlines complex and divergent.

Though there was an element of romance to this story, DRAWN IN BLOOD, is primarily a suspense thriller. Fans of police procedurals, multi-faceted storylines and a mix bag of emotions will find themselves glued to the page of Andrea Kane’s latest romantic mystery, DRAWN IN BLOOD.
