Julia Brodie is curious when her Scottish cousin gives her a necklace with the instruction not to wear it till she is back in the States, but Julia is too curious and tries it on while still in Scotland. Suddenly she finds herself in a 17th Century Scottish castle and meets a man who thinks that he is responsible for her time-travel. Talon MacClure is known as the wizard and thinks that Julia was brought to him to help him find a specific lamp. Julia finds him charming but also quite frustrating. Together they go on a quest that will endanger their lives. Will Talon realize what is more important, what is really worth protecting?

This book was just fun to read. It was interesting to see how the love story developed between Julia and Talon, two characters, who really needed some true happiness in their lives. Talon is the opinion that he is much without his amethyst ring, which in his opinion brought Julia back in time. Fortunately for him Julia sees beyond his hard shell and thinks that he is worth loving.

AMETHYST DESTINY is the second book of the Jewels of Time series, and although it is possible to read this book as stand-alone, I recommend you read SAPPHIRE DREAMS, too. The series is great and absolutely fun to read.

I can hardly wait to read more Jewels of Time books and I am looking forward for the next release.

If you are looking for a good time-travel, hurry and get a copy of AMETHYST DESTINY!

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
