Sixteen years ago, Carrie Overton helped a woman in need on the side of the road one dark, stormy night. When the lone woman disappears, leaving her newborn son behind, Carrie takes a chance to have a child to raise and keeps the secret of Sam’s birth to herself. But now kids are turning up missing and dead and the secret Carrie carries is threatening to come out in the open. A stranger named Gabriel Cain is asking questions, questions Carrie are afraid will destroy her world if the truth comes out. Can she trust Gabriel with her darkest secret while a killer preys on the teenagers of Shadow Falls?

KISS ME, KILL ME is the final book in the Shadow Falls trilogy and I have to admit, I didn’t read the first two books in the series before this one. Though this can be considered a stand-alone book, it seems that there are past events mentioned from the first two books. I definitely will be reading this in order so as to understand certain events in this latest book from Ms. Shayne. Tight writing, fast paced storyline and a mystery to solve leaves the reader eager to see what happens next for Carrie, Sam, Gabriel and the people of Shadow Falls. Ms. Shayne is a masterful storyteller who knows how to keep her readers glued to the edge of their seat from all the twists and turns within her stories. The characters are well developed and there were some intriguing secondary characters that had me wondering if they showed up in the first two books.

KISS ME, KILL ME is the final book in this thrilling suspense filled mystery that will keep you glued to the pages, trying to figure out who was killing the teenagers and watching the sparks fly between Gabriel and Carrie. With the right amount of suspense, romance and mystery, Ms. Shayne pulls off a story that ties up loose ends nicely and keeps her readers well satisfied as the last page is read. If you are looking for a thrilling trilogy to read then I highly suggest grabbing the Shadow Falls series and be ready to figure out who the murderers are. I look forward to reading more thrilling books from this author in the future.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
