One word of warning before you start this book-grab the tissues, you are sure going to need it. A TASTE OF LOVE is an emotional story that will have you in tears one minute, smiling and laughing the next. Andrew Grey is one of my favorite GBLT authors and writes character driven stories that literally will have you salivating for more. With each book, Mr. Grey gets better and better and I for one cannot get enough of his books. Tight writing, fast paced emotional storyline and characters that literally steal your heart. This is an author who definitely knows how to tell a story and keep his readers glued to the pages until the very end.
Meet Billy Weaver, a young man struggling to find a job. Walking into Café Belgie, he thinks it is another lost cause until the owner, Darryl Hansen tells him he has the job of a server. Thrilled and eager to show his new boss he is dependable and able to learn, Billy tries to keep things together until one night, Darryl finds out his secrets. Can Billy keep his job and find a way to tell Darryl everything? Darryl and Billy both had painful experiences, recent and in the past respectively. Both main characters are well written, multi-dimensional and had me wishing that I could go to eat at Darryl’s restaurant myself. There were some wonderful secondary characters that had me smiling and eager to see if they will pop up in the future. The sex scenes were nicely told and kept the story flowing smoothly.
A TASTE OF LOVE is a story of two people finding acceptance and love with one another. Mr. Grey delivers another winner in his latest release and delivers a satisfying read that will surely warm the hardest of hearts. This is one story I plan to read again in the future. If you haven’t tried one of Mr. Grey’s books, then what are you waiting for? Run and grab one and settle in for a day of reading bliss. A TASTE OF LOVE is definitely one story that I hope expands into a series in the future. I am looking forward to this author’s next release and hope I don’t have too long of a wait.
