CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE! Lady Anna has been working at an orphanage, trying to ease the guilt she feels after falling for a man who tried to kill her cousin. Now her mother and brother are making her attend parties and balls, in an attempt to get her back into society and married off. But, when she dances with Daniel, Earl of Bridgerton, old feelings return and she knows that she loves him.

Daniel has always been seen as a bit of a rogue. Like his family before him, he works as a spy for England. Because of his work, he has vowed never to marry, and as his father’s killer returns to get him, he must stay away from Anna although he would rather spend time with her in his bed. But, the walls are crumbling around his heart as Anna comes closer to him and he now has her where he didn’t really want her…in danger. To save her, he may have to pay with his life, and definitely with his heart.

Oh, whenever I get a book from Melissa Schroeder in my hand, I know I’m in for a wonderful read and this one proves that she’s still an author goddess!! Ms. Schroeder writes wonderful characters with real depth and life. Anna and Daniel are so good together as they dance the dance of love. Poor Daniel is trying so hard not to fall for the beauty and totally messes up in every way. He really has underestimated the young girl he once knew, who has turned into a beautiful, clever woman. The pages just sizzle with sexual tension. The plot is also really riveting. I was scrolling the pages frantically to see who the killer is.

We also meet some familiar characters and they all liven the story up. Another thing I love about Ms. Schroeder’s stories is, that they all leave me with a tear in my eye at the end. She knows how to pull the emotional strings and gives the reader a wonderful feeling of satisfaction.

If you haven’t yet read a book by this talented author, I insist you get going right away and start downloading her books. You will not be disappointed.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of the book.
