Sebastian Franklin has waited a long time to prove himself to his boss, Darryl, that he is responsible. When his boss goes on a much needed vacation, Sebastian finds himself facing a robbery at closing time and meeting a man who will change his life.

Robert Fortier is the brand new judge in town and stopping a criminal on his way into Café Belgie was just happenstance. Falling for Sebastian was something Robert wasn’t prepared for. Can Robert find a way to let go of his reservations to let himself fall in love for the first time?

Andrew Grey does it again in SERVING OF LOVE. I loved Sebastian when I first encountered him in A TASTE OF LOVE and was thrilled to see he got a chance for his story to be told. Mr. Grey does a great job in creating a character rich story that draws the reader in and delivers a few twists that leaves the reader gasping in surprise. The writing is tight, the story moves along at a nice, even pace and I was utterly charmed by the end of the first chapter. What really got me was the connection the characters have with one another. The reader feels the characters emotions-from laughter to tears to heartfelt happiness-as the story moves along. I felt like I was right there alongside them as they dealt with one issue after another. What really made this story wonderful was the way Sebastian and Robert communicated with one another and worked through their issues instead of letting it tear them apart. To me that makes a strong couple and it made the story even more realistic as well.

Meet Sebastian Franklin. He works at Café Belgie as front house manager and though people may think he is a party man, he actually enjoys a quiet night at home. Meeting Robert Fortier was something of a surprise one night and thus begins a friendship that turns to something much more. But Robert has just finally accepted he is gay and is quite reluctant to let anyone in his life romantically. Well that is until he meets Sebastian and finds himself falling for the young man-hard. I love, love, love these two characters so much. Sebastian is a wonderful character that had me smiling through much of the story. He is like a breath of fresh air on a gloomy day. Robert is quite reserved and the opposite of Sebastian. They do say opposites attract and this is the perfect case for it. I loved how the differences between the main characters were not the main bone of contention between them as they explore a relationship together.

I love Andrew Grey's work. The connection between characters, the lyrical way he delivers a story that is full of friendship and romance, it takes your breath away whenever you pick up one of his books. If you are looking for a perfect beach read, this is the right book to take with you. A SERVING OF LOVE delivers hours of reading enjoyment, delightful characters to root for and a romance that will leave you aching for more. If you haven't read A TASTE OF LOVE, I highly recommend reading it first but this can be read as a standalone story if you haven't. Mr. Grey delivers another perfect story to enjoy and I cannot wait to see what else he has up his sleeve for his beloved readers. If you love character rich stories that make you feel like you are home, then pick up one of this author's books. You won't be disappointed.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
