Urban fantasy author, Karen Chance, is back with the much anticipated fifth book in her Cassie Palmer series, HUNT THE MOON, just in time for the summer beach season.

Cassie has just defeated her maker, the god Apollo. She is now busy trying to learn her craft and preparing for her coronation as the Pythia (head clairvoyant). She is now married to sexy master vampire Mircea (at least as far as the vampires are concerned). But not everyone is happy with Cassie becoming Pythia. As assassins attack, Cassie finds that time travel will be necessary to save her mother from being killed before she is even born.

HUNT THE MOON is packed with fast-paced action and witty humor. Chance uses mythological references galore as she moves between Greek, Viking and British folk lore in order to explain exactly what is chasing Cassie (and her mother) through time. Cassie seems to bounce from one heart-stopping situation to the next usually taking along one of her bodyguards/trainers/love interests for the ride. Chance even manages to add a little romantic interest to the mix with someone other than her vampire husband Mircea. All this, while managing to keep that relationship intact and interesting.

Demons, vampires, gods and more, Karen Chance has once again managed to keep her fans happy and wanting more. This series just seems to get better with every book released. Kudos to Ms. Chance for being able to keep this series fresh, exciting and oh so fun.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
