Cyndi Gabriel from Cabot Cove has a lot talent. So much so that Jessica Fletcher and the local committee send her off on a trip to Nashville, Tennessee to get some professional instruction and be there where her talent can be challenged. Then, Jessica finds out that Cyndi has been accused of murder and is in jail. Determined that Cyndi is innocent, she takes off for Nashville to find out what happened. Seems a music producer has been murdered and Cyndi was seen running from the scene. It seems that the producer has a few ex-wives, some cheated partners and a few other possible enemies. Cyndi’s budding career seems to be over before it even started but with Jessica in her corner, Cyndi may just be able to get her first concert after all.

If you are a fan of the TV series, Murder She Wrote, I am sure you will enjoy the series of books that accompany it. I have read several and have enjoyed them all. In this one, Jessica Fletcher returns to Nashville and gets to see a bit more of the city, including the music business. It seems that Nashville is for country music what Hollywood is for films. The authors give us a believable insight into the goings on in this difficult business. We meet some old favorites like Seth and Mort. And of course, I enjoyed how Jessica is not afraid to ask the right questions, nor meet those people the police have already given up on. If you enjoy a cozy mystery and a story with some twists and turns, if you enjoy a story that captivates and gives you interesting characters, then I know you will enjoy this one.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
