Blobby Bobby….that was the nickname Bobby Steven Phillips remembers from his high school days. Going by Steven nowadays, he leaves his hometown behind and makes his way through the world. Now a decade has passed and he is being transferred back to the one place he left those many years before. Meeting Lane again has Steven wondering if he can make a life for himself in the one place he has been afraid of ever coming back.

I have got to admit, Andrew Grey has a way of creating a story that will astound the reader and then turn around to steal their hearts in the process. POSITIVE RESISTANCE is a tender, hot, sexy tale that deals with a tough topic in such a way that it left me with tears in my eyes. Mr. Grey delivers a strong, emotional story that left me wishing for more when the last page was read. The characters are well written, multi-dimensional and at times, quite amusing. The storyline flows nicely and there was a few twists that had me gasping since I wasn’t expecting them. This is an author who knows his characters-inside and out and that transcends into his stories.

Meet Bobby Steven Phillips. Once he used to be overweight and teased unbearably especially by Lane the Pain. Leaving town after graduation, he never has been back until now when his job transfers him there. Bobby or Steven as he goes by now lost weight; takes care of himself and has a secret that he guards. He thinks he has put away the past hurts but meeting Lane again has Steven wondering if he can actually have the happily ever after he has longed for. I absolutely adore the characters in this series. They have depth and I can see myself being friends with them in real life. Mr. Grey delivers a rich tapestry of characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. There were a few secondary characters that were enjoyable and kept the story moving nicely.

POSITIVE RESISTANCE is wonderful tale of believing that you deserve to be loved and give love in return. With each book I pick up from this author, I am more and more under his spell. If you haven’t gotten one of this author’s books before, then you need to remedy that now. I can’t wait to see what else Andrew Grey has in store for his Work Out Series and hope we won’t have to wait long.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
