Brenna Miller has to guide a group on a tour and although she’s not really enthusiastic about it.She decides they can collect leaves and do a decoupage class, at the shop she runs with her best friend, Tenley Morse. But the trail leads to a corpse and fortunately, Brenna has nothing to do with it this time. But she learns that the victim was the business partner of Tenley’s father and she needs to make sure that Morse Point is safe.Morse Point’s main family is in the vision of someone who is out to kill and that killer is not yet finished. So, between finding a killer and taking tours out, plus dealing with the attentions of two men, Brenna has a lot on her plate.
This was a quick and easy read, and an entertaining and heartwarming story.Lucy Lawrence has woven a story that lets you into a small town and its inhabitants, and takes you into their lives and hearts.I liked Brenna.Being somewhat of a craft fan myself, I loved the decoupage bits and there are even projects at the back of the book that decoupage fans can tackle. The characters are well written and the mystery kept my attention and had me turning the pages. The love interest between Brenna, Nate and Dom satisfied my romantic tastes and had me rooting for Nate! For a cozy mystery, I found this story to be just right for a cool autumn evening and can recommend it for fans of this genre.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
