Nora Roberts is the writer I so want to emulate when I grow up. She creates a wide variety of books that thrill her legions of readers-me included-and deliver countless hours of reading pleasure with whatever she creates. THE NEXT ALWAYS is the first book in her new trilogy set in her town of Boonsboro and the inn she owns there. I loved the Montgomery brothers-Beckett, Owen and Ryder. They were alpha male heroes who had hearts of gold. I just fell in love with them. Beckett was a perfect foil to Clare, the woman he has pined for since elementary school. The characters alone in any of this author’s work are delightful and very life like. It felt like you could meet them on the street of your home town and hang out with them. The author always delivers a story that you could fall in love with and it felt like I was right there alongside Beckett, his family, Clare and their friends in Boonsboro as they worked, played and watched two amazing characters fall in love.
THE NEXT ALWAYS sets the series up, introduces the main players and then with a wave of a magic wand, Ms. Roberts creates a story that wouldn’t leave you alone. I just had to know what would happen between Clare and Beckett, if the stalker would hurt someone, how long would it take for these two strong people to admit they are falling in love. Ms. Roberts is a consummate storyteller who always delivers a story that will enchant her readers. I love how she seems to mix things up between genres, from romantic suspense to contemporary romance to thrillers. You always know you’re going to get a thrilling ride no matter what when you pick up a Nora Roberts book and I cannot wait to see who is next to fall in love in Boonsboro.
THE NEXT ALWAYS is a perfect autumn read to enjoy on a cool night. With its fast paced storyline, captivating characters and a few twists I didn’t see coming, Ms. Roberts delivers a story that will leave you breathless and eager for more. If you are looking for that perfect book to escape with then I highly recommend THE NEXT ALWAYS and settle in for a story that will steal your heart.
