Glory St. Clair has man problems. First there is her boyfriend, Jeremy Blade. He comes in and out of her life like the wind and expects her to fall into his arms no matter their issues. Then there is ex, Ray Caine moving on to someone thinner than Glory and add in her bodyguard who is determined to move into her place and possibly into her heart as well. It’s enough to make a vampire want to run away from it all. Add in planning a wedding for her best friend and that there is a hit on her head. Glory has to figure everything out before someone stakes her in the process.
I love this author’s Real Vampires Series. It is fun, sexy, makes you giggle at times while other times you are sighing over Glory’s predicaments. What really makes this a keeper for me is how the author gives real world issues such as man problems, someone wanting her dead and other issues and spins them to the point where I am laughing hysterically at Glory’s reactions to the immediate problems around her. This is an author who knows the world she created very well and delivers story after story that literally steals your heart right from the first page. The writing was tight, storyline moved fast and the twists that were tossed in had me on the edge of my seat. Who will Glory choose-her sire and on/off lover, Jeremy Blade; Ray Caine, rock star and vampire protégé of Glory’s; or Valdez, a former bodyguard who loves her for herself? That is the question amid REAL VAMPIRES HAVE MORE TO LOVE and one this author delivers with a seamless grace.
What I really love is that Glory is not a size two, stick thin vampire. She has curves and is quite relatable to me. Who hasn’t mourned those few extra pounds that seem to not disappear no matter what you do? She has chemistry with all three of her potential love interests and I felt she was a better match with Jeremy though his old fashioned attitude got tiring after awhile. Glory is a character I would love to be friends with, pop out for a night on the town and maybe relax with. Granted who doesn’t want three guys panting over her, I found this latest Real Vampires book to be one of the best yet in the series. The villains were hilarious, like cartoon caricatures, that had me giggling. The characters were well rounded, amusing and quite enjoyable.
REAL VAMPIRES HAVE MORE TO LOVE is a happy, sexy tale of a vampire trying to figure out where her heart leads to while dodging stakes and death threats. This is a perfect book to read if you are looking for a light hearted, humorous paranormal story to enjoy on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I can’t wait to see what else is up the sleeve for Glory from author Gerry Bartlett. This is one series I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys humor in their paranormal stories.
