When Daniel met Mace what he knew of wolfmen changed and in the process, he found a home…and a mate. Daniel is Mace’s and Mace is Daniel’s. Now a psych wolfman is causing all sorts of trouble and if Mace, Daniel and their allies can’t get him taken down, there is no hope for the pack. For this time it is to-the-death and time is running out.

Brannan Black delivers a stellar installment in the next Wolfman series with GENESIS. This picks up right after WOLFMAN 4: SALVATION. The writing is fast and tight, the action is knocked up to warp speed and the connection between the two heroes is still tight and sexy. I absolutely loved how the characters continue to grow with each book. The author does a wonderful job in keeping the core characteristics for the main players and continues to show their vulnerabilities as well as play on their strengths. This is an author who really knows her characters inside and out which delights me no end each time I pick up one of this author’s books. Brannan Black lets the story and characters shine in ways that appeal to me…even with blood, sex and lots of action thrown in the mix.

WOLFMAN GENESIS picks up with no problem, unless you haven’t read SALVATION yet. Then you might be a bit confused. I highly recommend reading this series in order as each book capitalizes on the past one. Daniel is still a smart ass which made me extremely happy since his snarky comments had me giggling at times and other times, wondering if he was even going to survive to see the light of day. Mace is still sizzling hot, more so now that he and Daniel are mated. The connection between these two is very strong by this fifth book and I loved how both learned to work with each other, even as Daniel let Mace be all alpha on him in front of the pack. The secondary characters really shine-familiar ones as well as new characters making their debut. The dynamics between all the characters was interesting and I can just imagine all the work it took to keep them all straight.

WOLFMAN GENESIS is a fast action thrill ride that will leave you breathless in the end. Brannan Black keeps the reader glued to the edge of their seat with this latest installment and I was hard pressed to put it down. I am hoping the author returns to Mace, Daniel and all their friends/allies in the future. Would love to see how they are doing and maybe see if Mace hasn’t killed Daniel yet-either by loving him to exhaustion or smacking him around because of his smart mouth.

If you enjoy a story that will leave you on teeter hooks and at the same time, squirming in your seat, then grab the Wolfman series and settle in for some reading enjoyment.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
