The fifth book in Vivian Arend’s feverishly fun Granite Lake Wolves stories, WOLF LINE, is an entertaining story of mistaken identities, adventure and mating on the high seas.

Ladies man, Jared Gilliland, had no idea he was about to find his mate after he steals aboard a cruise ship while attempting to avoid the brothers of a former lover. Cruise line troubleshooter, Keri Smith, is certain the wolf that just snuck aboard her ship is her mate. Keeping their wolves apart for the entire trip might just be harder than Keri imagines. It isn’t possible that Jared could be the jewel thief she is looking for, right?

If the rest of the Granite Lake Wolves stories are as much fun as WOLF LINE, Vivian Arend is a writer this reader is sure to keep an eye out for. Jared is a rich boy hiding in plain sight, enjoying life and the ladies with no thought of finding a mate. Keri is a hard worker and good friend taking a job on a cruise ship in order to help her college friend run her first cruise. It is exactly the wrong time to find her mate. The confusion and misunderstandings lead to some very funny moments between these two wolf shifters.

The storyline is a bit on the weak side, but it is a novella, not a full length story so the humor makes up for the lack of in-depth plot. The lesser characters add interest to the story. The story is paced well and wraps up nicely. The only thing lacking for this reader was having Keri meet Jared’s parents. Is it possible that we might be meeting more members of the Gilliland family in future novellas?

Readers who enjoy a little light fun with their paranormal romance novellas are sure to enjoy Vivian Arend’s WOLF LINE. Look for it as summer approaches.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
