Lady Miranda de Vornay is on her way to meet her betrothed days before the wedding when she is taken captive by masked bandits. When she finds herself falling for the leader of the bandits, she gets the shock of her life when he tells her that he is the man she is to marry and that his half-brother is impersonating him. Not knowing what to believe, Miranda tries to figure it all out even as she falls in love with the bandit leader and finds out that she desires more than his kiss.

Catherine Kean pens a lovely tale of bandits, kidnapping, lords and ladies in her new release, BOUND BY HIS KISS. Her signature writing style is evident as the reader gets sucked into a story that has a few twists that leaves you gasping as you flip the pages and a romance between two unlikeliest of people to root for. The story flowed nicely, the sparks flew between Miranda and the mysterious bandit leader and the secondary characters kept the story flowing nicely.

Meet Lady Miranda de Vornay. She is on her way to her betrothed’s home for a visit days before her wedding to him. When she is abducted by forest bandits, she finds herself shocked and scared as well as spitting mad. How dare this criminal say he is Lord Bramwell Hawksley? He is nothing but a common criminal but there is something in his eyes that draws Miranda. I loved spunky Miranda. She is a heroine who knows her heart and as she tries to unravel why this man is saying that he is her betrothed and not the one she knows leaves her head reeling even as she finds herself falling for him. Ms. Kean gives the characters free reign and the reader is treated to life-like characters that you end up falling in love with.

BOUND BY HIS KISS is a wonderful story to enjoy on a lazy afternoon over a weekend. With the right amount of sexual tension, a mystery, romance and more the reader is treated to a highly entertaining story that Ms. Kean is known for. I look forward to seeing what she has in store for her readers in the future. If you are looking for some wonderful historical stories, then grab a Catherine Kean book and settle in for a swashbuckling affair that will leave you breathless in the end.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
