For bounty hunter Matthew Blood, getting his skips in means money in the bank and always don’t take much of his time. Until he tries to retrieve a person who skipped out on his bail and finds himself in the middle of a mystery that leaves him determined to get to the bottom of things. Finding a fairy didn’t help matters either. But this fairy is sexy, smoldering and draws Matthew like no other has before. Rum is determined to find his fellow fairies and rescue them, even if he has to enlist the bloodhound tracker who keeps him on his toes and in his bed. But for Rum and Matthew this case just took a more deadly turn and it will take the combined forces of a fairy, a bloodhound shifter and a few new friends to get to the bottom of this as nothing is as it seems.

I absolutely adored this book. It was funny, smoldering hot and kept me on the edge of my seat as I flipped the pages, hoping Rum and Matthew would be able to find the missing fairies. Declan Sands is a talented storyteller who packs a lot in this story but also doesn’t overkill with lots of telling instead of showing. The story flows smoothly, the simmering sexual tension between Matthew and Rum is quite hot and some of the phrases, such as fairy smacked, left me giggling at times. This is a fast paced story that will keep you highly entertained.

Meet Matthew Blood. A bloodhound shapeshifter, he can sniff out the skips who are wanted for skipping out on their bail but the one case he is on that he thought was a slam dunk, easy retrieval turned into something much more complicated. Add in one sexy fairy named Rum…well you get lots of sparks and more questions than answers. I loved the idea of a bloodhound shapeshifter and this author uses an original concept and gives it their own twist to it. It was unusual and yet quite fun as well. Rum is a fairy on a mission…one that is not sanctioned by his elders but he needs to find his friends, his family and will do anything, even join forces with a sexy bloodhound to find them. The dynamics between Rum and Matthew are simmering with sexual tension, delightful one-upmanship and a determination to get to the bottom of this mystery they find themselves in. The secondary characters help keep the story flowing smoothly and I look forward to seeing them pop up in future books.

BLOODHOUND: DUSTED is a delightful story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and leaves you breathless in the end. Declan Sands is a talented storyteller who knows how to keep a reader entertained from start to finish. The story flowed smoothly and the characters shined in DUSTED. There were a few secondary characters that had me eager to see if they show up in a story of their won. There is a twist in the story that you don’t see and I found it quite intriguing to say the least. With the right balance of action, mystery and a dash of science fiction tossed in, Declan Sands delivers a story that will leave you clamoring for more. I look forward to seeing what happens next in the Bloodhounds series in the future.
