David’s life
came to a grinding halt when his best friend was killed in a car crash. When
his money for college ran out he became a porn star, and also helping manage a
new MM porn movie business. His life becomes complicated with lovers, actors,
friends, men who refuse to accept they’re gay, and men whose lives are affected
by their relationships.
Kane works
with David and is thrown out of his home, so moves in with David, now known as
Dex. With so many people and so many
complications can they sort their lives out?
Amy Lane is
a prolific full-time author and one of the genres she writes regularly is MM.
This story is a long, big, full novel with many characters all with their
strengths, weaknesses and tangled relationships. These characters are fully
developed and fascinating people with a lot of story to tell. Using the setting
of a porn movie company gives Ms. Lane the opportunity to raise the sexual
tension high and build an expectation of more erotic scenes. These expectations
are fulfilled. There is a huge cast of characters, many of them well described
and their lives are inextricably intertangled causing tension and drama. At times
the story is particularly poignant but fulfilling. The main characters are
surrounded by many other characters, but still remain central to the story.
