This is book one in the latest trilogy by Maya Banks. Rush gives us the story of Gabe and Mia. Gabe Hamilton is one of three wealthiest men and part owner of the HCM Hotel. Mia is his best friend’s sister and even though he has lusted after her for years he sees Mia as off limits because of this.  Yet when he sees her walk into the hotel he cannot hold back anymore and decides to make his move. Will it be the right move or will Gabe lose more than his chance?

This book is an intense read. Gabe’s sexual preferences are extreme and Mia’s acceptance of them may be hard to read for some. He has had a painful and very public divorce which has added a lot of mistrust and baggage to Gabe. So much that he now will only begin any kind of relations with a woman by first having them sign a contract defining every little thing in their relationship. Mia understands his needs and is more than willing to give Gabe what he needs. I loved that Mia was so understanding and loved Gabe with all his faults and all. She loves him almost to a fault and in the end Gabe may push Mia too far, all because he does not want to acknowledge his love for her. Gabe is not a perfect Dom and does not aspire to be. He likes control and tries to separate his emotions from everything and everyone but Mia slips past his walls. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow into so much more than just lust and sex.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
