Dead Letter Day is number three in this ongoing series.
In this latest installment we learn that Melina’s friend Paul has gone missing
and she must find out the how and why of it. There seems to be than meets the
eye to his disappearance and Melina may be the only one who can figure it all
out especially since no one else seems to think anything is wrong.
This new adventure for Melina brings new powers and
emotions for her to work through. She is great woman but she is still growing
up and I enjoyed seeing her grow and flourish some more in this book. Melina
must deal with an enemy that may be too much for her but in order to save her
friend she must try. She does all that she can and is more than willing to
fight for those that she cares about. I loved the take on the cow in this
story. That alone may be worth the reading of the book. Melina is growing with
each book and this shows us a great deal of emotions and understandings from
her. I hope that we get to see her continue on this path especially with the
surprise she gets in this installment.
The story moves fast and keeps the reader’s attention.
While you could probably read it as a standalone it is better to read the other
books in the series first to better understand the workings and characters of
this world. Adventure and romance make this a good read and a nice installment
that not only gives us a more insightful look into werewolves but also has the
reader eagerly waiting for the next book.
This
is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
