For Nevada Britain, she felt she was doing penance when she offers Cord McDowell a piece of land their families have been fighting about for over a hundred years and trying to make amends for the wrong she did Cord years before. All Cord has to do is marry her. Cord McDowell is out of jail for a crime he didn’t commit and finds himself curious over his neighbor, Nevada, who offers him something his family has wanted for years. But Cord has a stipulation of his own- Nevada has to share the same bed as Cord as long as they are married.

But in Harmony, Texas, things are always happening and for these two stubborn people, falling in love is the most unexpected thing of all to happen to them. That is if they can trust their hearts to the other person….

I love Ms. Thomas’s Harmony, Texas series. A quirky cast of characters, a fast paced storyline that intrigues you and love that can happen to the unlikeliest of people. What more can you ask for? I know I for one, am a huge fan of this author’s work and her Harmony books are a pleasure to read. CAN’T STOP BELIEVING is filled with characters that fairly leap off the pages to a storyline that always seems to have a twist and turn to keep me on the edge of my seat. This is an author who knows how to hook her readers in the beginning and keep them hooked till the very end.

Meet Cord McDowell. He is returning to Harmony after a stint in prison over a crime he did not commit. He is determined to rebuild his life in peace and quiet that is Harmony. He just never anticipates his sexy neighbor to offer him marriage and that prime piece of land their families have been arguing about for generations. All he has to do is marry Nevada for eight months and then he will have the land and his freedom. All I can say is let the sparks fly.

These two are the perfect Hatfield & McCoy family that Harmony has. These two people are finding out what matters the most to them even as they battle family legacies, sexual tension and that pesky love that keeps circling them. They are intriguing, enjoyable and I loved the way these two sparred with one another. You could fairly feel the sparks they were generating between them. I know I was rooting for these two to hurry up and admit their feelings. There were a few returning characters from past books I loved returning to as well.

There is a sub-plot going on between Ronny Logan and Marty Winston that was just as enjoyable as Cord and Nevada’s story was. CAN’T STOP BELIEVING was a perfect read to enjoy on a lazy afternoon while I watched kids play and enjoyed the summer sun. Ms. Thomas is a wonderful storyteller who knows how to keep her readers glued to the pages till the very end. I found that each time I read a Harmony, Texas story, I feel like I am coming home for a visit and this time I can’t wait to return. I just hope the author doesn’t keep the readers waiting for the next book in this captivating series.

If you enjoy a story filled with complex and flawed characters, an engrossing storyline and more then try a Harmony, Texas novel and settle in for a fun filled day of reading pleasure. This is an objective review and not an endorsement
