Welcome back to Thunder Point. The perfect place to rediscover yourself and fall in love with the laid back town. For FBI Agent Laine Carrington, recuperating in Thunder Point was a perfect choice. With the town’s trademark scenery, down to earth residents and more, Laine feels at home and begins to make some new friends. With a potential romance brewing between her and new guy to the town, Eric Gentry, life is just about perfect as can be. But Laine has choices to make and both her and Eric need a little faith as they find themselves falling in love.

I have got to admit I absolutely adore Robyn Carr’s Thunder Point books. It’s full of wonderful characters, storylines that steal your heart and more. All a perfect combination to enjoy on a cold winter’s night. The writing is tight, story flows smoothly and the reader is treated to past characters popping up as well as new ones to intrigue you as you flip the pages of THE CHANCE. Ms. Carr delivers another satisfying read in her beloved Thunder Point Series and I, for one, can not wait to see what else she has in store for this sleepy little town in the future.

Meet Laine Carrington and Eric Gentry. Laine is recovering from being shot after being undercover at a commune that wasn’t quite what the FBI thought it was. Deciding she needs a break, she moves cross country and sets up house in Thunder Point and begins to contemplate her future. She just never anticipated meeting Eric Gentry or finding the sparks between them are burning hot. Eric moved to Thunder Point to get to know the daughter he only found out about. Laine was someone he wasn’t expecting to like much less fall in love with. I loved these two together. Who better together than an ex-con who turned his life around and a FBI agent trying to figure where to go now? The sparks fly fast and furious with these two and I loved the banter they had together. What I love about this author is how she delves right into her characters, making them stand out-warts and all-for the reader to love and with these two, you find yourself rooting for them to succeed even as fate decides to tear them apart. The characters are all well written, multi-dimensional and definitely a delight to read about.

THE CHANCE is more than man meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after. Ms. Carr’s latest installment in the Thunder Point series is full of laughter, tears, romance and friendship all blended together to give this reader hours of reading enjoyment. Now all I can say to Ms. Carr is ‘More please!”. If you enjoy small towns, friendships, romance and captivating characters then grab any in the Thunder Point series to enjoy though each is a stand alone title, I highly recommend reading these in order to get the full Thunder Point effect. I can’t wait to see who is next to find this charming little town with gorgeous views and such wonderful people to enjoy.
