Once again the angels Cristophe and Rafael find themselves helping another couple in need. This time around the couple is Jake and Finn.  Both men have suffered through so much and find themselves alone and sad.  Finn has had everything taken away from him for no good reason at all yet he has survived and still fights. Jake has lost his will to fight but when Finn enters his life he turns it all upside down and Jake must decide if he is strong enough to fight again or let love slip away.

I was pulled into this story right from the start. I loved both Finn and Jake. The two are a great couple. I felt so much anger and sadness for what Finn suffered and was glad that he finally found a place with people he could call friends. Watching him open up and enjoy himself was a nice read and as big and bad of a Dom that Jake is we see just how scared he is on the inside. Love has not been kind to him and he refuses to let anyone in. Yet somehow Finn breaches all his defensives without Jake realizing it. The love that the two share is stronger than either man knows and seeing the two find their way made for a wonderful read.

I always know that any book from Lex Valentine will be full of depth and emotion and Bitter Bonds does not disappoint. This is a great addition to this series and I hope that we get to see more from this world.
