This is a collection of four short stories by Julia Talbot, set in the paranormal world of the Bloodrose club. The stories, including a brand new one never published before, fit between “The Werewolf Code” and the opening of the paranormal resort, “Cereus: Opening”. The stories areFireworks”, “Harder Than it Looks”, “Learning to Wag”, and “String Art”.

It’s great to revisit an older series, to reread the stories in order, and to learn new snippets about favorite characters. Ms. Talbot is an accomplished author with many books under her belt, and she has a neat way of sketching every character very clearly in just a few words. Her BDSM stories are edgy enough to tantalize the reader, and her MM sex scenes are hot. Add to that some great characterization and the short stories are well worth reading. A collection like this is perfect to have on your cell phone for when you’re waiting in line somewhere or during a coffee break. These are short, hot, snappy and fulfilling. A great way to pass the time. Although be warned that they’re addictive. You might find yourself needing to buy the rest of the series.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
