Cody and Dante have pined for each other since the first day Cody was rescued and brought to Dante’s pack. Neither one ready to take the leap of faith until one fateful night when the pack realizes that they are not invincible and Cody finds the courage to seek out the man he longs for. Yet in the morning their shared night does not turn into the bliss Cody imagined and misunderstanding rule. Will Dante’s past keep him from his future or will he finally see the happiness that he could have with Cody?

This is a sweet story about love lost and love found. Dante goes through so much when he loses his mate and closes himself off and builds walls to keep everyone out but as this series goes on we see just how Cody has broken through many of those walls without even trying.  Cody tries to find himself and move on with his life now that he has a pack to feel safe in but he still longs for what he thinks he will never have. I loved watching the relationship grow between these two. Dante is a good man and when push comes to shove he proves just how much Cody means to him.

Not only do we get Dante and Cody’s story in this book but we get a new look at the vampires and their efforts to control the werewolves. This fast paced story grabbed my attention right from the start and with the action and twists the plot had me until the end.
