Covered Up With Susan Edwards

Back to school favorite:  pens or notebooks?

I am definitely a pen person. In high school (waaaay back when), we didn’t have all the colored pens. We had blue, black, red and maybe green so when they came out with colored paper, I always used that when allowed as I like color.

But now that there are tons of pens in all colors, I’d choose pens over paper. I love fancy pens, gel pens, sparkly gel pens, colored pens, etc. I have more pens in my office than I can possibly ever use and I like to even try to keep sets of pens together. I do like pretty notebooks as well. A pen isn’t much good without paper!

Hiking or jumping in a pile of leaves?

The inner child in me would love to jump in a big pile of leaves but the older me says no way. Not only are there probably creepy crawlies hiding, it’s be my luck to land on a rock or piece of wood or do something, somehow to myself. So hiking is the saner choice. I do enjoy getting out in nature and watching the birds soaring overhead and seeing the beauty around me. Went on a hike last weekend as a matter of fact!

Halloween or Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving. Even though I used to enjoy Halloween when the kids were young, I’ve always loved Thanksgiving. It’s a time for family and good food. And you can’t beat the leftovers, especially turkey sandwiches!

Hot buttered rum or hot chocolate?

Okay, I’ve never had hot buttered rum so I’d have to choose hot chocolate. I love sweets and chocolates, so on a cold night, a nice mug of hot chocolate hits the spot. Oh, I have to have marshmallows. And a dash of cinnamon adds a nice spicy taste as well.

Who's book (besides one of yours) are you most looking forward to reading?

I recently read each of Christine Feehan’s Drake series (Drake Sisters), then the new series born out of that series (Sea Haven) and am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series. I’m also waiting for the next Imager book (L.E. Modesitt Jr.) I’ve read all the Imager books and am looking forward to where he takes us next as he did one timeframe, then took us back in history and now he’s going to take us somewhere in the middle. I love the Imager books. And I’m always eager for the next JD Robb Death book.
