Workaholic Scott, is magicked out of his hotel room and into another man’s bedroom to play the part of his loving husband for one day only. At first Scott is furious but when he learns he can’t get out of the wish, he gradually accepts the day and realizes being with Cameron is okay.

I liked that this book was something a little bit different. Scott had several problems he had to solve and I enjoyed watching him work his way through the obstacles. The setting was well crafted, the problem a nice mixture of the expected and surprises, and the main characters were engaging.

Cameron was sweet and loving, with occasional hidden hints of steel. Scott had a lot of growing, developing and changing to do and it was fun to watch his endeavors. Personally I liked the djinn the best. He had some great lines of dialogue and was an amusing character.

The sex was hot, varied, well written and nicely interspersed with other things. The need for Scott to solve the problem was a great way of adding tension (other than sexual tension which there already was plenty of) to the book. The ending was very well done indeed. I certainly didn’t see it coming.
A great short story well worth reading, from an author known for writing good books.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
