Maya Banks brings readers into a whole new world with this series. IN HIS KEEPING  is the second book of this series. In this book we get the story of Arial and Beau. The two meet and the sparks fly. Something has threatened Ari’s special world and Beau is more than ready and capable of protecting her.  As the two work together they soon find that emotions begin to rise and  love could be closer than they imagined.

Beau is cool, calm and collected until Ari comes into the picture. With emotions running on high Beau is quickly falling for Ari and he will protect her with his life. Ari finds refuge with the man her father told her to find if she ever needed help. Soon Ari begins to find more than just safety with Beau. Can the two figure out who or what is out to harm Ari before it is too late or will the evil win?

I enjoyed this book. I was taken on a ride right from the very first chapter. The author does a good job of mixing the romance and the action together. Ari and Beau make a good couple, each one complimenting the other nicely. Watching Ari and Beau’s story take shape was a nice read. Their relationship only gets stronger as the story goes on. Their story has twists and turns that kept me turning the pages to see just what was in store next for the couple.

As immersed as I was in the main couple’s story the secondary characters would not be passed by and had much to say. I am eagerly waiting for the next book in this series to see what will happen next in this world.
