I am a big fan of Kim Harrison and I have
enjoyed this series from start to finish. I was happy to get to read this book
but at the same time I was sad that it was the last in the series. I have enjoyed
going along for the ride with Rachel and all her friends and enemies along the
way. This last adventure of Rachel’s is
a big one. This book manages to tie up all the loose ends and give some happy
ever afters.
The Witch
With No Name begins soon after the last book ended. So much is going on with
Rachel and her friends. Rachel will not fail Ivy and the promises that she
made. Rachel is determined to make as much right as she can for everyone. I
enjoyed watching everything fall into place in this story. Trent, Ivy, and
Jenks are all here and even Al will not be left out. Everyone has their own part
to play before this book is over.
I was
pulled into this story right from the very first page and did not want to leave
when the story ended. Rachel’s story has a few twists and turns in this book
that I did not see coming. Emotions are strong in this book and we get to see
how stable their relationships are. Each visit to this world is like visiting
with family. This story brings everyone’s tale together. Love for family and
friends bring Rachel and all her friends closer than ever. Trent and Rachel work
through so much as well. I am glad that after it is all said and done Trent
proves that he is not such a bad guy after all.
The author
has done a great job with not only this book but the whole series. The turmoil
and the action are nicely balanced with the camaraderie and the emotions. I
hope that this is not the last time we ever get to visit with Rachel and the
Hollows.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this
book.
