Witches and Demons Book 3
Eight hundred years ago a warrior witch hero was killed by a demon, and for eight hundred years the hero’s followers have tried to kill the demon’s child, the child also of the hero. Robin is also a warrior witch and is sent to kill the demon’s offspring. Instead, Robin sees the good in the offspring.

This is a fast-paced story with plenty of action, some exciting battles, and ample hot sex scenes between the two main characters. There is also a huge cast of minor characters, which I suspect may have come from previous books in the series, and one loose thread, which I assume will lead to the next book in the series. The MM romance between Guy and Robin is complete in the book, hot, engaging and fulfilling. Both characters are multilayered and appealing, and readers will be drawn to their complicated romance.

I know the definition of dark fantasy is a bit fluid, but I didn’t find any elements of horror or dread in the book. There were bad people of course, and battles, but to me a few people dying with no emphasis on the gory side of things wasn’t enough for me to categorize the book as dark fantasy.

I was also disappointed at the number of simple typos that hadn’t been fixed. You’re instead of your, subject and verb not matching (anyone…were), missed words, less instead of fewer, different than instead of different from, missing words. All of these are silly small things that ought to have been fixed in the final read through. Seeing them annoyed me and pulled me out of the book.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
