When
Quinn shows up at Alex’s club he never thought that his life would change so
dramatically. A last-ditch effort brings him to the club for a job, but he soon
finds much more than just a job. Both Quinn and Alex both try hard to ignore
their growing attraction but how long can they ignore the inevitable? A war has
been going on for years and now Quinn has stepped into the middle of it all.
Will he stay and fight once he finds out the truth about Alex or will he run?
This is an interesting world that the author has created. I enjoyed meeting Alex and Quinn and seeing their story play out. Quinn is a very naive young man who quickly learns many life changing lessons. It was nice to see Quinn begin to grow and find himself with the help of Alex. Their attraction is strong and soon turns into something much deeper. Trust begins to develop and love soon follows but will it still be there when Quinn learns the truth? Alex has lived a long life and continues to fight for good and against the evil of his enemies. He Is a strong and smart man who cares for many people and loves Quinn with all his heart. Alex and Quinn make a nice couple and the love that they share is strong and visible in all that they do. Not only do Alex and Quinn have something to say but all the supporting characters make themselves known as well. We see the true evil that the enemy is and the good of those around Alex.

story moves along nicely, and the author does a good job of mixing the action
and the emotions together. I am excited to see more from this series and cannot
wait for Val and Mackie’s story.
