Jon has lived his life the way everyone expects him to, but he has needs and wants of his own. Every so often he his urges get the better of him and this last time when he gives in to his urges he finds himself beaten and given to the dragon as the latest sacrifice. What will happen to Jon now? Will this be the last moments of his life or will a savior come to his rescue before it is too late? Help comes from unexpected places and Jon finds some hope but is it enough to keep him safe from the dragon?
I
enjoyed meeting Jon. He is a good man that must deal with the insecurities and
failures of the people in his village. When he is beaten by friends and family
and left for the dragon the pain is not only physical. Trust is lost, and Jon
must look into himself to try to find it again, especially when he meets Patch.
Patch is a dragon and a man of worth. He sees so much in Jon. It was nice to
see the two fight together against evil and find a way to work towards their
happy ever after. Emotions are strong, and their romance is sweet and hot. Evil
and lies are uncovered and Jon must decide where and what he wants. Their story
may be a quick read, but it still pulls readers in and opens this world for so
much more. I am eager to see what more this author has in store for this world.
