Miles has found his mate, but he is no wolf shifter like himself. Quincy is a jaguar shifter and not only that he is also the next in line to rule. The two cannot even begin to get to know each other let alone bond. Quincy is on the run and does not want to put Miles in any kind of danger. Yet the danger comes calling even when Quincy tries to lead them away their enemies put Miles in their crosshairs. Quincy will not let this go and begins to fight fire with fire and he find help in many unexpected people.
This is a good story with an interesting plotline. The characters are well developed and likeable. We are taken back to the world of the wolf shifters in the Forbes pack. This time Miles gets his tory told. I enjoyed Miles and Quincy. The two work well together and the love that they share is deep. With a little help from friends and packmates the two work hard to figure out just who their enemies truly are. It was nice to see their bond deepen as they spent more time together. The two find out that love is something worth fighting for and never giving up on. They learn so much throughout their journey to a happy ever after. I also enjoyed having Chad and Jamie along for most of the ride. The banter and friendships between everyone was great. Quincy learns a lot about love and friendship from the Forbes pack. Not only the tight knot group of friends and family that Miles hangs out with but also in the rest of the pack and even some of the jaguars step up and surprise him. As the enemies are revealed we see the bonds grow between everyone.

As interesting as this storyline was it was hard for me to really get lost in the story. The accents and voices that narrator Christopher Boucher uses are over the top and campy or stilted to me that quickly took me out of the story and had me laughing at how silly they sounded. The story grabs your attention I just wish the voices chosen for the characters was better.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
