Chris has enjoyed supporting his brother and the calendar that the others were in, but Chris is ready to leave the after party and go home to enjoy some quiet solitude. Yet when he looks at Dane Chris thinks he might just be able to endure the party a little longer. When their meeting goes awry Chris goes home to some quiet alone time, but it seems life has decided that Dane and Chris are meant to be. One phone call from Dane begins their adventure. As the two start to find their way it seems that someone is out to ruin everything before it even begins.

Chris and Dane make a nice couple and it was interesting to see their relationship take shape. As they spend time together we get to see Chris open up with Dane’s support. Both Chris and Dane are good men, and each has their own insecurities but together they hold each other up and help the other to be strong. The story gives readers as side mystery as to who is after Chris and why anyone would be. It is fast paced and has an interesting twist that I did not see coming. Their story is an engaging read but the plot of someone being after Chris seemed like filler. It was not really integrated well enough for me. It almost felt as if they were two different books. I would have enjoyed it more if the plot was centered around one or the other. As much as I enjoyed the main characters I did not get lost in their story. This may not be one of my favorite couple’s, but I enjoy the author’s work and will look for more books in the future.
